Patient Story

The patient’s experience using The Happ:y Wellness Program is simple to lay out, and keeps you and your patient informed on the patient’s progress.

Step 1: Initial Visit

We understand how important it is for there to be clear communication, especially during a first visit. Using the Happ:y System, you conduct your evaluation as usual, but with our precision Assessment Mat. Once the evaluation is over, you would give your patient:

  • A Sundial Mat (may send to patient for evaluation if conducted online)

  • Happ:y Handout

  • Instructional Flip Cards (optional)

Step 2: Follow-up Sessions

Once your patients get set up at home, they will have access to their Happ:y dashboard. This will display your instructions and their assigned videos. You can easily monitor the patient’s progress on the program, set reminders to exercise, or schedule in-office/ telehealth visits.

The patient will also have many features within their Happ:y dashboard. Having an easy place to ask questions, review exercises, and engaging videos helps patients stay on track with their prescriptions.

Step 3: Patient Reference

You and your patient will, naturally, conduct follow-ups as long as you deem necessary. You can increase or decrease repetitions, time, or new exercises as the therapy continues.

Once the sessions come to an end, the patient can continue to access Happ:y as a reference tool for as long as they would like. If they continue to access the resources and continue to exercise, they avoid reinjury.

Pediatrics

Did you think we would forget the kids?

Our Animal and Shape Mat replaces the various number and markings on the Sundial Mat with, you guessed it, different shapes and animals.

This is great for younger children. Our playful design keeps kids engaged and moving.

Accessibility

The first Happ:y products were designed when Paul was working with the deaf and hard of hearing community. The Happ:y Foam Hands and Feet are designed to communicate the exact position of the hands and feet on the mat. Our mats are used by many organizations including YAFA and the Special Olympics.

Video Library

A key piece of the Happ:y Program is our video library.  When you prescribe an exercise, your patient sees:

  • Video demonstrating exercise on Happ:y Mat (see example)

  • Written instructions for the exercise

  • Customization areas to meet individual needs

In addition to our collection of video exercises, you can upload your own exercises to a private library to then share with your patients.
